Akhmat Abdulkhamidovich Kadyrov ( Russian: Ахмат Абдулхамидович Кадыров, August 23, 1951 - May 9, 2004) was the president of the Chechen Republic (elected on October 5, 2003). He was assassinated on the 9th of May 2004 in Grozny stadium by a bomb blast under a VIP stage during a World War II memorial victory parade.
