Blackburn with Darwen is a borough in north west EnglandEngland is the largest, the most populous, and the most densely populated of the four " Home Nations" which make up the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK). Occupying the south-eastern portion of the island of Great Britain, England. It consists of Blackburn, the small town of DarwenDarwen is a small town in the county of Blackburn with Darwen in England. It had previously been part of the Blackburn district of Lancashire, but when this gained independence it was renamed to include Darwen. During the industrial revolution the town be to the south of it, and surrounding countryside. It was founded in 19741974 is a common year starting on Tuesday (click on link for calendar).
