Bouncebackability is neologism meaning 'the ability to make a comeback after a defeat or some personal setback'. Most often found in the sports world to describe a teams return to winning ways after a poor performance. Origin of the word is subject to much debate but most pundits credit it to ex-player and now manager of Crystal Palace F.C. Iain Dowie in reference to his team's unexpected return to winning form.

The word has become a phenomenon in the UK amongst football fans and cult Sky football show Soccer AM has started a petition to get the word in the Oxford English Dictionary.
