Brønnøy is a municipality with 7565 inhabitants (Jan. 2004) and area of 1039 km² in the county of Nordland, Norway. It has a varied scenary with numerous islets and mountains and some fertile agricultural areas.

In south-west is Torghatten a mountain famous for its hole right through. The administrative and commercial centre is Brønnøysund. A secondary centre is Hommelstø.
