Due to the high popularity of the area with visitors and tourists, mainstream retail and commercial forces have in recent years started to replace some of the traditional shops thus changing the unique character of the area. Consequently diluting the very thing that attracts the high visitor numbers. In line with this trend London UndergroundThe London Underground is a public transport network, composed of electrified railways (that is, a metro system) that run underground in tunnels in central London and above ground in the city's suburbs.
