The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour will be the second largest church building in Russia following the cathedral of the same name in Moscow. Also its appearance will be similar. The top of Kaliningrad's new Cathedral will reach 70 meters. Its construction will be finished in 2006.

Today beside the construction area there is a small wooden church.
