Dante is the half-demon main character of the video game series Devil May Cry, produced by Capcom. He will appear in the Playstation 2 version of Capcom's Viewtiful Joe.Dante's surname (last name) is Sparda presumably taken from his father, The Legendary Dark Knight, Sparda. In Devil May Cry Dante works as a devil hunter. His initial weapons of choice are the sword, Force Edge and his handmade handguns, Ebony and Ivory. Force Edge was a memento sword from Dante's father. His family consists of his father, Sparda, his mother, Eva, and his brother, Vergil Sparda. Since he is a half blooded demon, Dante has abilities far above that of a normal human. Almost every cut-scene in the game attests to that.
