Dharma & Greg was an American television situation comedy which was broadcast between 1997 and 2002 on ABC. It focused on the relationship between the culturally mismatched young married couple of the title.Free-spirited Dharma (full name Dharma Freedom Finklestein Montgomery, played by Jenna Elfman) was an illegitimate child raised by hippie parents. Greg (full name Gregory Clifford Montgomery, played by Thomas Gibson) was an attorney, coming from a wealthy family. This oddly-matched couple hit it off immediately, and were married on their first date.
At the end of each episode, a message appeared on the screen for a brief moment, so that it is readable only to those who record the program (using a VCR, for example) and pause it. These "vanity cards" were written by producer and show co-creator Chuck Lorre, and express his personal views on a variety of subjects.

- Pete ( Joel Murray ) - Greg's fellow lawyer, a particualy bad, lazy one, who ends up marrying Jane
