The title of Earl of Rosslyn was created in 1801 in the Peerage of the United Kingdom for Alexander Wedderburn, 1st Baron Loughborough, the former Lord Chancellor.The Earl bears the subsidiary title of Baron Loughborough ( 1795), in the Peerage of Great Britain, and is a baronet of Nova Scotia ( 1666).
