Gamera (ガメラ) is a giant, tusked, flying turtle from a popular series of Japanese films. The character starred in two series of films: one in the showa era that was primarily aimed at children and considered MST3K fare, and a second trilogy made in the heisei era that is considered one of the best series of kaiju films ever produced.
