The Gare de Lyon is a major railway station in Paris, France. It is named after the city of Lyon, in the broad direction of which the long-distance trains departing from this station go.

The station was built for the World Exposition of 1900. Built on multiple levels, is very large and is considered a classic example of that era's architecture. Most notable is the large clock tower atop one corner of the station.

The station contains a well known restaurant, "Le Train Bleu", which has served drinks and meals to travellers and other guests since 1901 in an ornately decorated setting.

The long-distance trains, including the TGV, serve mainly the southeastern part of France.
