Gustavo Adolfo Espina Salguero (born 1946?) became vice-president of Guatemala (during the presidency of Jorge Antonio Serrano Elías) on January 14, 1991.

In a coup d'état on May 25, 1993, the military attempted to install him as president, but he served only briefly as caretaker-president, without taking office, from June 1 to June 5, 1993, when he was forced to resign by Congress. He spent the following years in exile, and in 1997 returned voluntarily to stand trial for his involvement in the coup. He was convicted of violating the constitution, but his sentence was commuted to a small fine.
