HMS Warrior (R31) (later CVL20) was a Colossus-class aircraft carrier, of the Royal Navy.
She was built by Harland and Wolff, Belfast, and originally to be called Brave. Launched on May 20 1944, she was immediately transferred to the Royal Canadian Navy on completion on January 24 1946. She was returned to Britain in 1948 and took part in Operation Grapple, the first British Hydrogen bomb tests. See HMS WarriorFour ships of the Royal Navy have been named HMS Warrior . The first Warrior was a third-rate ship of the line of 74 guns, launched in 1781, a receiving ship after 1818, and broken up 1857. The second Warrior was the first ironclad ocean-going armoured ba for other ships of this name.
