Haiku-OS is a free operating system developed to replace the creation BeOS which was bought by Palm in 2001. BeOS is not created anymore and therefor is replaced with the Haiku Foundations attempt to recreate it in a free way as well as technologically superior.

Haikus goal is to create a desktop operating system that is:

* Administration free * Easy to use * Free and Open * Fast even on older hardware * Powerful enough for the most complex uses * Exciting to use
