Hsu Hao is a character in the video game series Mortal Kombat.1 About Hsu Hao
Hsu Hao is quite likely one of the most original characters created in the history of Mortal Kombat. He is portrayed as a cruelly deceptive Chinese grappler, who posed as a member of China's intelligence services to infilitrate in the Special Forces. His sole purpose, however, was to destroy them after he had aided them in destroying the crime clan of the Black Dragon , long-time rivals of Hsu Hao's Red Dragon . Hsu Hao has no heart. Instead, he has a dangerously pulsating heart implant that also enhances his strength. He follows orders from his superior Mavado with unquestioning obedience.
2 Storyline
For the events on Earthrealm leading up to , Hsu Hao was of primordial importance. He destroyed the Outer World Investigation Agency 's only means of inter-realm travel with a miniature nuclear weapon, after the Black Dragon was seemingly eradicated, with Kano lost forever and its last member, Jarek, killed in Edenia . His former superior at the Special Forces, Jax, had a score to settle with him.
3 Misc bits
Hsu Hao was called " Kubla Khan" in an early beta of Deadly Alliance. Although it was merely a reference to the ancient Mongol warlord, many took it to be a connection to Shao Kahn.
