Ian Scott is a young politician in Manitoba, Canada. In the Canadian federal election of 2004, he was a candidate for the Green Party in the riding of Winnipeg South Centre.Raised in the upscale River Heights section of Winnipeg, Scott has been involved in local community organizations such as Take Pride Winnipeg! , a group which seeks to increase civic responsibility. In 2003, he received the Young Civic Leader's Award from Kelvin High School.
Scott's campaign in 2004 focused primarily on environmental issues, including recycling and anti-idling campaigns. He received 1508 votes, close to 4% of the total cast in the riding. This was the party's second-best showing in the city.
