Irving Township is a township located in Barry County, Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 2,682.

1 Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 93.3 km˛ (36.0 mi˛). 93.0 km˛ (35.9 mi˛) of it is land and 0.4 km˛ (0.2 mi˛) of it is water. The total area is 0.44% water.

2 Demographics

As of the census 2 of 2000, there are 2,682 people, 901 households, and 746 families residing in the township. The population density is 28.9/km˛ (74.7/mi˛). There are 931 housing units at an average density of 10.0/km˛ (25.9/mi˛). The racial makeup of the township is 97.13% White, 0.63% African American, 0.41% Native American, 0.22% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.41% from other races, and 1.19% from two or more races. 0.67% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
