Joyce Penelope Wilhelmina Frankenberg (born February 15, 1951) is a British actress who took the stage name of Jane Seymour at age 17. A Bond girl in Live and Let Die ( 1973), she is probably best known today as the star of television's Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, of which she was also executive producer. She has had a long career in both film and television going back to 1969. Her first major role was as Emma Callon in The Onedin Line.

Seymour was named an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Queen Elizabeth on New Year's Eve, 1999.

She is mother to twin sons by actor James Keach (her fourth and present husband). The twins were named "Johnny" and "Kris" after family friends Johnny CashJohnny Cash ( February 26, 1932 September 12, 2003) was an American country music singer and songwriter, known to his fans as "The Man in Black". In a career that spanned almost five decades, he was the personification of country music to many Americans a and Christopher ReeveChristopher Reeve ( September 25, 1952 October 10, 2004) was an American actor, director, producer and writer renowned for his film portrayal of Superman/Clark Kent. Reeve was born in New York City to writer Franklin Reeve and journalist Barbara Johnson. (with whom she starred with in Somewhere in Time). She is also mother to a son and daughter by David Flynn (her third husband).
