Julian Lennon (born April 8, 1963) is a British singer, songwriter, musician, first son of Beatle John Lennon and Cynthia Powell in Liverpool, England. He was christened John Charles Julian Lennon. It is often observed that Julian is almost identical in appearance to his late father.

Lennon has always lived in the shadow of his famous father, who left the family while Julian was still young. He has had a mixed career as an artist, becoming popular in the mid- 1980s, with songs such as "Too Late for Goodbyes", and again in the late 1990s.

It was commonly speculated that any reunion of The Beatles would feature Julian in his father's place, though the death of George Harrison has made such a reunion unlikely.

Julian was responsible for the name of one of his father's most famous songs, " Lucy in the Sky with DiamondsThe Beatles songs Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is a song written mostly by John Lennon (with some material by Paul McCartney) in 1967, and recorded by The Beatles for their album, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band''. According to the Beatles, one day", a phrase Julian used to describe a picture he had drawn, a watercolour painting of a girl (his classmate Lucy) surrounded by stars. Later, Paul McCartneySir James Paul McCartney, MBE (born June 18, 1942), much better known simply as Paul McCartney is a British musician, composer and producer. He was born at Walton Hospital, located in northern Liverpool near his teenage home, where his mother had worked a wrote " Hey, Jude" as a way of consoling Julian because of his parents' divorce.

Interestingly, 'Hey Jude' was meant to be 'Hey Jules', but Paul changed the name because he thought 'Jude' was a better name. Years later, Julian Lennon bought the original manuscript of 'Hey Jude' in an auction.

'Good Night' on the White Album, although sung by Ringo Starr, is a song by John Lennon to his son, Julian. Also on the White Album is 'Dear Prudence' which is Julian Lennon's favourite song.
