KPÖ ist the communist party in Austria. Its short for "Kommunistische Partei Österreichs" which means "Communistic Party Austria". By date of writing this article (2004) it has not more than 0.7% in recent elections and consists of communistic hardliners as well as progressive young people trying to develop and establish new political models in our society.
