Lake of the Woods County is a county located in the U.S. State of Minnesota. As of 2000, the population is 4,522. Its county seat is Baudette 6. The Northwest Angle makes it the northernmost county of the Lower 48 States. The county includes the U.S. portion of Lake of the Woods, shared with Canada.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 4,597 km˛ (1,775 mi˛). 3,358 km˛ (1,297 mi˛) of it is land and 1,239 km˛ (478 mi˛) of it is water. The total area is 26.95% water.
