The racial makeup of the county is 92.96% White, 0.38% Black or African American, 1.22% Native American, 0.69% Asian, 0.18% Pacific Islander, 2.55% from other races, and 2.01% from two or more races. 5.37% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 26,306 households out of which 31.60% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.90% are married couples living together, 9.90% have a female householder with no husband present, and 29.40% are non-families. 24.00% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.20% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.57 and the average family size is 3.02.
