Ludwig von Mises ( September 29, 1881, Lwów - October 10, 1973) was a notable economist and a major influence on the modern Libertarian movement. He was born in Austria-Hungary and subsequently taught at the University of Vienna in the years 1913 to 1934, while also serving as a principal economic adviser to the Austrian government.
