Marysville is a city located in Union County, Ohio. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 15,942. It is the county seat of Union County 6.

1 Geography


Marysville is located at 40°14'2" North, 83°21'59" West (40.233881, -83.366353) 1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 40.4 km˛ (15.6 mi˛). 40.2 km˛ (15.5 mi˛) of it is land and 0.2 km˛ (0.1 mi˛) of it is water. The total area is 0.51% water.

2 Demographics

As of the census 2 of 2000, there are 15,942 people, 5,563 households, and 3,788 families residing in the city. The population density is 396.3/km˛ (1,026.8/mi˛). There are 5,976 housing units at an average density of 148.6/km˛ (384.9/mi˛). The racial makeup of the city is 91.32% White, 6.15% African American, 0.16% Native American, 0.97% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.24% from other races, and 1.13% from two or more races. 1.05% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
