In countries which retain a monarchical system of government, an oath of allegiance to the monarch is often required as well. For example, here is the oath of Canadian citizenship:
I swear (or affirm) that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen of Canada, Her Heirs and Successors, and that I will faithfully observe the Laws of Canada and fulfil my duties as a Canadian citizen.
Adding an oath to God to the end of an oath is usually optional.
