1 Geography

Ojo Amarillo is located at 36°41'36" North, 108°22'10" West (36.693205, -108.369313) 1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.9 km˛ (1.9 mi˛). 4.9 km˛ (1.9 mi˛) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

2 Demographics

As of the census 2 of 2000, there are 829 people, 174 households, and 163 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 167.6/km˛ (434.8/mi˛). There are 193 housing units at an average density of 39.0/km˛ (101.2/mi˛). The racial makeup of the CDP is 1.57% White, 0.12% African American, 95.54% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.48% from other races, and 2.29% from two or more races. 1.33% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
