One Piece (ワンピース) also known as Drake or Drake and the Search for the Treasure in some regions (such as Greece), is an anime and manga about a crew of pirates led by Monkey D. Luffy who set out in search of the legendary treasure One Piece.

One Piece was created by Eiichiro Oda. The series began its run in 1997 in Weekly Shonen Jump and is still being serialized. The TV series was first aired in October 1999. As of 2004, more than 345 chapters and 35 collected volumes of the manga have appeared. Also, more than 200 episodes of the television series, as well as five theatrical movies have aired.

One Piece is set in a fictional world, where pirates run rampant in an era known as the "Golden Age of Pirates". The story of One Piece follows the adventures of a young pirate named Monkey D. Luffy whose body was turned to rubber after he ate a cursed fruit known as the Devil Fruit (Luffy's fruit was the Gum-Gum Fruit, in Japan it's called the Gomu Gomu Fruit). A side effect was the supposedly crippling flaw that Luffy can't swim (though why this is a flaw is questionable, as many pirates in real history were unable to swim) The story features many pirates with super powers gained from the Devil's fruit. The story relates the importance of following your dreams and of friends.
