This article is about the 1994 movie PCU. PCU is also used as an acronym for Packet Control Unit, part of the GSM Base Station Subsystem . PCU is also used as a US Navy initialism for "Pre-Commissioned Unit"; see Ship prefix.
PCU is a 1994 comedy film. The movie follows in the footsteps of Animal House, showing college life at Port Chester University , which is also called "Politically Correct University." The story involves a preppy high school senior who comes to the College as a pre-freshman. During his visit he comes between the war of The Pit and Balls and Shaft. Both groups want nothing to do with the politically correct groups for their own reasons. The Pit members just want everyone to harmonize and quit trying to further their own causes while Balls and Shaft members want the greek system to return so they may lord over the rest of the student body.
The movie features a parody of the now famous Skull & Bones fraternity called The Order of Balls and Shaft . Among the members is Rand McPherson, portrayed by David Spade. Balls & Shaft are supposedly so evil they are in league with the faculty and natural protagonists in the movie. The Pit is lead by Jeremy Piven 's character, James "Droz" Andrews. The movie is almost based on the struggle between Piven and Spade and their ideologies
