Patrick Jenkin was an important member of Margaret Thatcher's government.

Charles Patrick Fleeming Jenkin, Baron Jenkin of Roding (born 1926) is a British Conservative politician.

Jenkin was the Conservative MP for Wanstead and Woodford from 1964 to 1987, and participated in many ways in the government of Margaret Thatcher. He served as Secretary of State for Social Services from 1979 to 1981, then as Secretary of State for Industry until 1983, and finally as Secretary of State for the EnvironmentThe Secretary of State for the Environment was a UK cabinet position. He was one of the Maastricht rebels. His father is the British politician Lord, is a spokesman for the Tories.
