Jean-Paul Michael Levesque (born July 27, 1969 in Nashua, New Hampshire) is an American professional wrestler, best known for performing under the name Hunter Hearst Helmsley or Triple H. He is a nine-time World Champion and the current World Heavyweight Champion of RAW.

Triple H is a graduate of Killer Kowalski 's Wrestling School. In 1994 he joined World Championship Wrestling, wrestling there as a heel under the names Terra Ryzin and Jean-Paul Levesque. He left in 1995 for World Championship Wrestling's rival organization, the World Wrestling Federation (now World Wrestling Entertainment). The World Wrestling Federation packaged him as heel Hunter Hearst Helmsley, a spoiled rich kid from Greenwich, Connecticut. Along with fellow Clique members Shawn Michaels and Chyna, he formed D-Generation XD-Generation X (also known as D-X or DX was a faction in professional wrestling from 1997 to 2000. The group was formed in late 1997 when real-life friends Michael Hickenbottom (wrestling as Shawn Michaels and Paul Levesque (then wrestling as Hunter Hears in 19971997 was a common year starting on Wednesday (see link for calendar), and was designated the International Year of the Reef''. Events January January 3 NBC's Today Show Bryant Gumbel signs off for the last time January 8 Mister Rogers receives a star on t. This was the beginning of a meteoric rise to become one of the most successful wrestlers ever.

During Triple H's World Wrestling Entertainment career, he has held an impressive number of titles, including the WWE ChampionshipThe WWE Championship formerly known as the WWF Championship and WWWF Championship as the company name changed, is the top prize in the WWE, though exclusive to its Smackdown! brand since August 26, 2002 while the World Heavyweight Championship is exclusiv, the WWE Intercontinental ChampionshipOriginally the second-most important title in WWE, the Intercontinental Championship is now one of the major championships on the RAW brand. While the top superstars on RAW usually seek the World Heavyweight Championship, wrestlers who are not in the main, the WWE European ChampionshipWWE European Championship is a former championship competed for in the WWE. History The European Championship was deactivated in a ladder match on June 22, 2002 when Rob Van Dam put his WWE Intercontinental Championship on the line, along with Jeff Hardy', and the WWE World Tag Team Championship (held with Stone Cold Steve AustinSteve Williams (born December 18, 1964) aka Stone Cold Steve Austin is a professional wrestler from Victoria, Texas. His birth name was Steven James Anderson he received the name Williams when he was adopted by his stepfather. His biological father had le as his partner) as well as winning the 1997 King of the RingKing of the Ring is a former yearly WWE Pay Per View event. The first King of the Ring was held in 1993 and the final KotR was held in 2002. The King of the Ring main event was an event in which typically 15 to 16 wrestlers duke it out in a one-on-one sin. He is only the second of five men to have held all four of those titles, the first being Shawn Michaels. Although some people beleive he is actually a ten-time world champion due to the fact that he held the Undisputed Championship when it was represented by two belts after being consolidated by Chris Jericho, it was only one title, the number of physical belts or other awards is irrelivent. Since then he was awarded the belt once and won it a further three times, from Shawn Michaels, Goldberg and Randy Orton, as well as five reigns as World Wrestling Federation/World Wrestling Entertainment Champion, totaling nine times.

The most difficult moment of Triple H's career occurred during a match on a live broadcast of Monday Night RAW on May 21, 2001 when he suffered a legitimate and career-threatening injury. A misstep caused him to suffer a tear in his left quadricep muscle. Despite his inability to place any weight on his leg, Triple H completed his part in the remaining few minutes of the match – an admirable display of dedication to the business. He even allowed one of his opponents in the tag team match, Chris Jericho, to place him in his standard finishing maneuver, the Walls of Jericho, a move that places considerable stress on the quadriceps. The tear required an operation, which was performed by famed orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews . The rigorous rehabilitation process kept him out of action until January 7, 2002, over seven months.

Triple H is one of the most controversial figures in the history of the business. Many pundits have criticized him for using backstage political leverage to hog screen time, retain titles, elevate his friends, and generally hold down talented workers who might otherwise deserve to share the limelight with him. This view has only increased since he became the real-life son-in-law of WWE promoter Vince McMahon, which at one time was merely part of his gimmick. At the same time, his career is filled with legendary performances against a wide variety of opponents, ranging from newcomers to some of the greatest champions ever. All else aside, he continuously draws one of the biggest crowd reactions (whether cheered or booed) in any arena he performs in – a mark of high success in the pro wrestling world.

In recent storylines, he manipulated Eugene, the "mentally challenged nephew" of RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff, to get the World Heavyweight Championship from then-champion, Chris Benoit. Unfortunately he failed in weakening the defense of Chris Benoit, getting the World Heavyweight Championship, or even ending Eugene's career.

He recently faced Randy Orton, ex-member of Evolution. Randy Orton was thrown out of Evolution, after winning the World Heavyweight Championship from Chris Benoit, something Triple H could never do. They faced off one-on-one at Unforgiven 2004 with Randy Orton losing to the Cerebral Assassin with the help of his Evolution colleagues.

Levesque plays a minor role in the film .
