Paul Newman (born January 26, 1925) is an American actor and film director.He was born in Shaker Heights, Ohio to a Catholic mother and a Jewish father who owned a successful sporting goods store. He served in the Navy in World War II, in the Pacific theater. When he returned to America he attended Kenyon College and Yale University.
