Paul Van Dyk (born December 16, 1971, Eisenhüttenstadt, Germany) is a famous tranceartist, DJ and remixer. He was part of the Berlin club scene and started DJing in 1991 at Turbine. Since then, he has become well-known worldwide and is in popular demand as a live DJ. His song, "For An Angel" is widely considered to be one of the first epic trance songs, and was also ranked as the number 2 electronic song at the end of the last millennium. Paul van Dyk has a weekly Radio-Show on Germany's Radio Fritzevery Wednesday from 20:00 - 22:00 CET.

He also released a CD/DVD combination named Global in early 2003. The CD is a mix of his most popular songs up to that point, and the DVD includes music videos, interveiws and an 80 minute video in sync with the album showcasing some of the events he has played in the past.
