Paulo Ferreira was born Paulo Renato Rebocho Ferreira on 18 January, 1979. He played as a right-back for the Portuguese National Team during Euro 2004. In 2003 he was voted into the uefa.com users' Team of 2003 ahead of Míchel Salgado , Lilian Thuram and Javier Zanetti. He played for FC Porto for four years before joining Chelsea for £13,200,000 at the beginning of the 2004- 2005 season.
