It is essentially a two-dimensional version of Nim. Though the game is non-trivial, the first player can always win, at least in the 5 by 5 matrix version by choosing the center piece and symmetr, Nimbi , Polytaire , Qrazy Qube , Pyramystery and the Soma cubeThe Soma cube is a solid dissection puzzle created by Piet Hein during a lecture on Quantum Mechanics by Werner Heisenberg. Seven pieces made out of unit cubes must be assembled into a 3x3x3 cube. The pieces can also be used to make a variety of other int. He advocated the use of the super ellipseA super ellipse is a geometrical figure which in a cartesian coordinate system can be described as the set of all points x y with : where n > 0 and a and b are the radii of the oval shape. The case n 2 yields an ordinary ellipse; increasing n beyond 2 yie curve in city planning, furniture making and other realms. He also invented a perpetual calendar called the Astro Calendar and markets housewares based on the Superellipse and Super-Egg .
