Pornography is the fifth album by BritishGreat Britain (often abbreviated as Britain is an island lying off the western coast of Europe, comprising the main territory of the United Kingdom. Great Britain is also used as a political term describing the combination of England, Scotland, and Wales, alternative rock band The Cure, released in 1982 (see 1982 in music).
Some consider this the most stark, dark, and depressing album The Cure has ever done. Not a hint of happiness or resolution, this album embodies true hopelessness. For a case in point, the album opens with the lyric "It doesn't matter if we all die."
