The President of Serbia is the head of state of the Republic of Serbia.The current President of Serbia is Boris Tadic, who won a majority of votes in the Serbian presidential elections, 2004.
1 Authority, legal and constitutional rights
The Presidents can:
- preside in five year mandate
- be elected for president twice
- have an immunity granted by National Assembly
- disband National Assembly and Government
- declare state of emergency
- call for elections
- represent the country
- confer medals and awards
- veto a bill until the assemly have reconsidered it, and approved it a second time
The President is member of defence council of Serbia and Montenegro, whose head is President of Serbia and Montenegro.
The Speaker of the parliament serves as interim president if the elected president resigns from office.

- Nataša MicicNataSa Micic nee Jovanovic, was born on November 8th 1965 in Uzice, western Serbia. After career as a lawyer, she was elected president of National Assembly of Serbia on December 6th 2001. After the mandate of Milan Milutinovic as the president of Serbia ( 2002- 2004)
- Dragan MaršicaninDragan MarSicanin [ ] (born in 1950 in Belgrade) was Serbian Minister of Economy, but his position was put on hold when he decided to run for president in 2004. He later resigned from the position when he was appointed ambassador of Serbia and Montenegro ( 2004)
