The Presidents' Trophy is an award presented by the National Hockey League to the team which accumulated the most points at the end of the regular season. It was introduced in the 1985-86 NHL season by the NHL Board of Governors. The winning team is also awarded $200,000 USD, to be shared between the team and its players.

The award is a relatively recent creation and it is an honour considered far below the Stanley Cup. Winning the award is still very difficult, perhaps even more difficult that winning the Stanley Cup, as it is a competition of thirty teams each of which play 82 games between October and April each year. While only a minority of President's Trophy winners have gone on to win the cup, it remains the most likely position to produce the cup winner.

In the Original Six era, the Prince of Wales Trophy was used for a similar purpose.
