Quilicura is a suburb of Santiago the capitol and most populous city in Chile. Is was originally on the outscirts of town, but as urban sprawl has set in it is now quickly urbanizing from, what was recently prime agracultural land. It is located in the Región Metropolitana, Metropolitan region. In Chile there are regiones (regions) which are the equilavent of provinces or states.
