Regulation drill, also known as "standard drill", is one of the phases that drill teams perform during a drill meet. The other phases include inspection drill , and exhibition drill. In regulation drill, a designated person, usually the commander, calls a sequence of drill commands that his or her team will perform.
Teams are usually evaluted on the basis of:
Bearing - Each member maintains outstanding military bearing.
Cadence - Teams march in step, and within the cadence regulations.
Command voice (commander) - Team commander calls commands with confidence and snap.
Drill sequence - Teams perform all the commands required in order.
Boundary - Teams do not cross the boundary line.
