Rosales is an order of flowering plantMagnoliopsida Dicots Liliopsida Monocots The flowering plants (also angiosperms or Magnoliophyta are one of the major groups of modern plants, comprising those that produce seeds in specialized reproductive organs called flowers, where the ovulary or carps, including the rose family, Rosaceae. The families given at right are typical of modern classification systems. Aside from the Rosaceae themselves, this is a complete change in composition from the Rosales from the older CronquistThe Cronquist system is a scheme for the classification of flowering plants (or angiosperms). This system was developed by Arthur Cronquist in his texts An Integrated System of Classification of Flowering Plants (1981) and The Evolution and Classification taxonomy:
