Professional wrestlingA TLC or Tables, Ladders and Chairs match is a type of professional wrestling match seen in World Wrestling Entertainment. It is a variation of a no holds barred match with a particular emphasis on the use of the three most popular 'foreign objects' in wrestling. The TLC pits three or more tag teams against each other with the goal of acquiring the tag team championship belts which start the match suspended above the ring.
The original TLC match was a combination of the gimmicks of the three teams involved in that match:
- Tables: The Dudley Boyz, who brought the use of tables as props/weapons into the professional wrestling mainstream.
- Ladders: The Hardy Boyz , two real brothers, Matt and Jeff Hardy, known for the use of ladders, both as weapons and as the springboard for extremely high-risk aerial moves.
- Chairs: Edge and Christian, a team noted for the use of chairs as weapons, and whose finishing maneuver at that time, known as a "con-chair-to", involved both men hitting an opponent's head simultaneously with chairs.
There have been four televised TLC matches. At least one member of the three teams that contested the original TLC match has been involved in every televised TLC match to date.

- Summerslam, August 27, 2000 - Edge and Christian defeated The Hardy Boyz and the Dudley Boyz to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship
- Wrestlemania X-7, April 1, 2001 - Edge and Christian defeated The Hardy Boyz and The Dudley Boyz to win the WWE Tag Team Championship
