History and Awards
TTTech was established in 1998 as a spin-off of the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) and has about 125 employees worldwide. TTP – the core technology of TTTech – has been developed over more than 20 years by the TU Wien and TTTech in cooperation with industrial partners and leading research institutions. TTTech’s technology considerably improves dependable data communication with respect to safety, cost, and productivity.
TTTech has received a significant number of awards, including two Automotive Engineering International (AEI) Tech Awards in 2002, Austria's Young Entrepreneur Contest in 2002, GrowthPlus Europe's 500 ranking in 2002 and 2001, the European Entrepreneurship Prize for Austria in 2000, the Information Society Technology (“IST”) Prize in 1999 and the election as Vienna's Most Innovative Startup Company in 1999 and as Best Austrian Startup Company in the innovation category of 1998.
Executive Board
Since the foundation of the company in 1998, the executive board is:
Dr. Stefan Poledna has 20 years of experience in the automotive industry and know-how in the area of controller unit development. He is a founding member of TTTech and is responsible for R&D, services, and marketing. Stefan Poledna also lectures on fault-tolerant computer systems at the Vienna University of Technology.
Georg Kopetz, who studied law at Vienna University, has much professional experience in the financial and legal field, and worked as a finance and law consultant in Austria and abroad. He also is a founding member of TTTech Computertechnik AG and is responsible for sales and finance.
