The Ohio State University, also known as Ohio State or OSU, is currently the largest state University in the United States by population (with 50,995 students), consisting of the main campus in Columbus, Ohio, and branch campuses located in Lima, Mansfield, Marion, Gibraltar Island (Stone Lab), and Newark. The university was founded in 1870 as a land-grant university.
