The Truman Sports Complex is a facility located in Kansas City, Missouri. It was built by the government of Jackson County, Missouri. Arrowhead Stadium opened in the fall of 1972, and Kauffman Stadium opened the follwing spring of 1973. The complex was one of, if not the, first of its kind. The theory behind the concept was that multiple stadia could share the same infrastructure: parking, roads, etc., while still having the benefits of sport-specific facilities.
