1 National newspapers
Traditionally newspapers could be split into 'broadsheet', serious-minded newspapers and 'tabloid', less serious newspapers. The Independent and The Times have both switched to a tabloid-sized format. For the time being, this list continues to use Broadsheet to mean Serious, and Tabloid to mean less serious; arguably these are points of view with which some readers may disagree.
