The University of Oklahoma ( OU) is an institution of higher learning located in Norman, Oklahoma. The university was founded in 1890. It currently enrolls almost 29,000 students, has over 1,900 full-time faculty members, and offers 154 baccalaureate programs, 152 master's programs, 74 doctorates, eight majors at the first professional level, and five graduate certificates.These programs are contained in nineteen colleges, thirteen of which are on the Norman campus: the College of Architecture, the College of Arts and Sciences, the Michael F.
