Home > VW Type 3


The VW Type 3 was a small 2 door sedan produced by Volkswagen. Introduced in 1961 as a bigger brother to the VW Beetle, it re-used several componants from the Beetle, including engine and gearbox parts. It was produced in several body styles, including 'Notchback', 'Fastback', 'Squareback' and 'Station Car'. In 1968, it was joined by the 4 door VW Type 4. Production continued until 1973.
