Middle-earth Valar

A character from J. R. R. Tolkien's fantasy universe, Middle-earth, Varda Elentįri is a Vala, wife of Manwė. Varda means sublime or lofty, and Elentįri means Star-queen. She is also known as Elbereth, Gilthoniel, The Kindler, Lady of the Stars, Queen of the Stars and Tintallė. Varda set the stars in the sky.

When Melkor first began to create his discord, Varda saw his mind, and hated him. Melkor fears and hates Varda most of the Valar.

Varda is said to be too beautiful for words. She resides with Manwė in Valinor. Varda created the stars with the dews from the vats of Telperion, a tree planted by Yavanna.
