Zapdos is an electric bird Pokémon. Zapdos is yellow and its whole body is zigzagged like lightning. Zapdos is Pokémon #145 and being a bird is both Electric type and Flying type. It is one of the three legendary bird Pokémon. This is the electric one of these birds.

In Japanese, Zapdos is called Sandaa (Thunder).

Zapdos is featured in Pokémon The Movie 2000 - The Power of One together with the other two legendary birds, Articuno and Moltres. In the original Pokémon Red and Blue games for Nintendo's Game Boy system, Zapdos could be captured at the Power Plant.
